The Great Irish Famine Memorial Refugee Scholarship
The Great Irish Famine Memorial Refugee Scholarship has been established to recognise all those affected by the Great Irish Famine (An Gorta Mor, 1845-1850) and to celebrate those Irish Famine refugees who settled in Australia. The Famine refugee diaspora has helped shape Australian culture and society and continues to influence contemporary Australian society.
