The Sydney Review of Books exists to expand and enrich Australian literary culture. We’re Australia’s leading critical journal and we publish the best writers and critics in the country.
 
Everything the SRB publishes is open-source: we want our essays to be read widely and to shape the public conversation about literature. And everyone who writes for the SRB gets paid. These are core values for the SRB - even in times of crisis.

In 2023 we'll celebrate ten years online, no small achievement for a small digital arts organisation. We want to maintain a vigorous, relevant program in the decade to come – and we don’t want to put the SRB behind a paywall.
